About Care & Culinary

A kitchen where skills, confidence and connection are the real recipe

We started on the Gold Coast in 2023 with a simple idea: the kitchen is one of the best classrooms there is. Measuring, following steps, working alongside someone, cleaning up, and eating something you made yourself — these are life skills, and they are learned by doing.

  • Built around goals, not just activities

Every session links to something practical — independence in the kitchen, following instructions, working in a group, food safety.

  • Sensory-friendly and genuinely inclusive

We adjust pace, noise, group size and support level so nobody is left watching from the side. Support workers and carers are always welcome.

  • Small groups, familiar faces

Numbers stay low on purpose. Participants see the same facilitators each week, which is what makes progress — and comfort — possible.

How it works

Getting started takes one conversation

  1. Get in touch

Send an enquiry or call us. Tell us who the program is for and what you are hoping they get out of it.

  2. We check the fit

A quick chat about support needs, sensory preferences, dietary requirements and goals — so the first session is not a surprise.

  3. Confirm your place

For NDIS participants we set up a service agreement. For holiday programs, you simply book and pay.

  4. Start baking

Turn up. Aprons, ingredients and equipment are all provided — just bring a container for the trip home.

Reviews

What families and coordinators say

From a parent, a support coordinator and a participant — the three people any new enquiry is likely to be.

Joining the Care & Culinary NDIS Baking Course has been one of the best decisions we have made for our son. From the very first class he came home so proud of what he had made — and that confidence has only grown week after week. Sarosh and the team are warm, professional and genuinely care about every participant. We cannot recommend this program highly enough.

As a support coordinator I am always looking for high quality community participation programs for my clients — and Care & Culinary is exactly that. The program is structured, professionally run and the participants absolutely love it. The invoicing and service agreement process was smooth and easy from start to finish. I have already referred multiple participants and will continue to do so without hesitation.

I was nervous before the first class but the moment I walked in I felt so welcome. The facilitator was patient, encouraging and made sure everyone felt included. By Week 3 I was baking things I never thought I could make — and the graduation ceremony in Week 10 was something I will never forget. Thank you Care & Culinary for giving me this opportunity. I am already looking forward to the next course!
