These terms apply when you book or enrol in a Care & Culinary program. Please read them before you confirm a place. If you have a question, call us on 0451 115 196.
About these terms
These terms cover all our programs. NDIS participants also sign a service agreement with us before starting. If the service agreement and these terms say different things, the service agreement applies.
Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our programs
We currently run:
- 10-Week NDIS Baking Course — for NDIS participants, funded through the NDIS.
- Kids Spring Holiday Baking Workshop — a five-day school holiday workshop open to any child.
Program details, dates and times are listed on each program’s page. We will always tell you if something changes after you book.
Enrolling
How you book depends on the program:
- NDIS course — send an enquiry, call or email us. Your place is confirmed when we have both signed a service agreement.
- Kids workshop — book online through the booking form on our website and pay by card. Your place is confirmed once payment is received in full, and we email you a confirmation with your booking reference.
When you book the kids workshop you confirm that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian, that the details you give us are correct, and that you have told us about any allergies or needs we should know about.
Places are limited and are offered in the order bookings are confirmed.
Fees and payment
NDIS course
The NDIS course is funded under Category 4, Community Participation. We charge in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. We can invoice plan managers, self-managed participants and the NDIA. The exact charges are set out in your service agreement before you start.
Kids workshop
The Kids Spring Holiday Baking Workshop costs $180 for all five days, including all ingredients and equipment. Payment is due when you book, and your child’s place is confirmed once payment is received. Places are not held without payment.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
If you need to cancel
NDIS course
Please let us know as early as you can if you cannot attend a session. We follow the short notice cancellation rules in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. Under those rules, if a session is cancelled with less than the required notice, we may be able to claim for it from your plan.
Our notice period is two clear business days. “Clear” means the day of the session and the day you tell us are not counted. For example, to cancel a Monday session, please let us know by the end of the Wednesday before.
If a session is cancelled with less notice than that, we may claim the session fee from your plan, as the NDIS rules allow. We will always tell you before we make a short notice cancellation claim, and this is also set out in your service agreement.
Kids workshop
We do not offer refunds for change of mind — for example, if your plans change or your child decides not to attend, or misses one or more days.
This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If we cancel a day, or the workshop is not provided as described, you are entitled to a remedy, which may include a refund.
If we need to cancel or change a session
Occasionally we may need to cancel or reschedule a session — for example, because of illness, a venue problem or unsafe weather. If that happens, we will tell you as soon as possible and offer a make-up session. If a make-up session is not possible, we will not charge for the session, or we will refund you for it.
Allergies, health and safety
Our programs take place in a kitchen, so safety comes first.
- Tell us about allergies and dietary requirements before the first session. We will be honest about whether we can safely accommodate them.
- We work in a shared kitchen. We take care to avoid cross-contamination, but we cannot guarantee any food is completely free of a particular allergen.
- Tell us about any medical needs, medication or health conditions we should know about.
- Everyone needs to follow the kitchen safety instructions given in each session.
Supervision and support
NDIS course. Support workers and family are welcome to attend. Our facilitators run the group, but they do not provide one-to-one personal care. If a participant needs one-to-one support, please bring their support worker.
Kids workshop. We are responsible for children during session times. A parent or guardian must drop off and collect their child on time, and let us know in advance if someone else will be collecting them.
Keeping everyone safe and respected
We want every session to feel safe and welcoming. If someone’s behaviour puts themselves or others at risk, we may pause their participation for that session. We will always talk with the participant, and their family or support person, about how to support them to take part safely.
Food made in sessions
Participants take home what they make. Food is prepared in a shared kitchen, so please check it suits the person’s dietary needs and allergies before it is eaten.
Photos
We only take or publish photos with written consent. See our privacy policy for details.
Feedback and complaints
We want to hear from you if something is not right. See our feedback and complaints process.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies is the one on this website when you book. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
